Motor City Hosts Super Bowl

While I am disappointed that I won’t be watching the Detroit Lions play, I am not going to give up on my quest to buy some Super Bowl tickets. It is nice because this year the season didn’t end for Detroit fans on the first day of January. We get to have the Super Bowl in our city and any fan would be crazy not to want to go. I am hoping to see a battle between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos.

Lions Secretive About Head Coach Prospects

Like many NFL teams this year, the Detroit Lions are on the hunt for a new head coach. Matt Millen went public saying he was looking but will not divulge whom he is looking at. I guess it’s not smart to give out that information early because some candidates may have jobs with other NFL teams. It is just a matter of weeks before they will tell us everything and make a selection but I am still crawling the net looking for answers to all my doubts and questions. This is such an important quest for this team because the Detroit Lions need a great coach to lead them to a winning season in 2006.

Lions Play Hard Against Steelers

I don’t understand where our offense has been hiding all season. They came out on New Years day with 308 yards total for the game and 21 points. I can’t understand why we couldn’t have played like that all season but felt it was a positive note to end on at least. It is crazy that the Lions could do that against one of the better defensive units in the NFL. The Steelers had only allowed an average of 12 points in their recent games, making our performance on Sunday even more amazing. Hopefully with some good draft picks we can build on what we learned this year and win some more games in the 2006 season.
